The family of Michael Oyedokun, one of the teachers killed during the recent abduction of pupils and staff in Oyo State, has appealed to President Bola Tinubu and Governor Seyi Makinde to help recover his body for a proper burial.
Speaking after the rescue of the kidnapped victims, the family said they are grateful that many of those abducted were rescued alive, but expressed deep pain that Oyedokun’s body is yet to be brought home.
According to the family, giving him a dignified burial would provide some comfort and help bring closure after the tragic incident.
They urged the Federal Government, the Oyo State Government, and security agencies to intensify efforts to locate and retrieve his remains from the kidnappers’ hideout.
The appeal comes as Oyo State continues to mourn the victims of the kidnapping, while security agencies sustain operations to track down those responsible for the attack.
