Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, the man accused of forging government appointment letters and posing as the Director-General of the alleged Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), says he fears for his life but is not hiding from security agencies.
Speaking on Channels Television on Monday, Adeyemi denied claims that he was on the run, insisting he is willing to face authorities.
“I’m ready to show my face. I’m not hiding. I’m only fearing for my life because I have it on good authority that my life is in danger,” he said, adding that there had been several attempts on his life, though he did not reveal who was allegedly responsible.
Adeyemi’s comments come amid an ongoing controversy surrounding the purported PFIPC and the Presidential Economic Advisory Council (PEAC), both of which the Presidency has repeatedly stated are not recognised government agencies.
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Police Force is set to arraign Adeyemi before the Federal High Court in Abuja over alleged forgery, impersonation and other related offences.
According to court documents marked FHC/ABJ/CR/562/2025, Adeyemi and two other defendants are facing eight counts, including forgery and impersonation.
Police investigators also alleged that before his arrest, Adeyemi operated the purported PFIPC from the second floor of the Federal Secretariat Complex, Phase III, Abuja, despite the agency not being officially recognised by the Federal Government.
