Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has recounted an unusual experience he said occurred after he won the governorship election, claiming that a vulture died in his bed.
The governor also alleged that another bird died in his office following his order to demolish the Black House in Sapele.
Speaking about the incidents, Okpebholo reportedly said the experience involving the vulture happened shortly after his electoral victory. He also linked the death of the second bird to the demolition exercise, although further details about the circumstances surrounding both incidents were not provided.
In his remarks, the governor declared his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and expressed his desire to see the president secure a significant victory in Edo State.
“I have come to the children of God, and I want President Tinubu to win very big in Edo,” Okpebholo said.
His account of the unusual incidents has drawn attention, particularly because of the circumstances he described and the political message accompanying his remarks.
The claims remain the governor’s account of the events, and further details have not been independently established.
