The Borno State Police Command has arrested two suspects for allegedly stealing ₦39.2 million from a customer’s bank account in Maiduguri.
According to the police, the suspects are accused of fraudulently accessing the victim’s account and withdrawing the money through unauthorized transactions.
During the investigation, officers were able to recover ₦10 million believed to be part of the stolen funds, while efforts are ongoing to trace the remaining amount and uncover other individuals who may have been involved in the crime.
The police assured residents that the suspects will be charged to court after investigations are concluded, reaffirming the command’s commitment to tackling financial crimes and protecting the public from fraud.
