Wike Predicts Bigger ‘Rainbow Coalition’ for Tinubu Ahead of 2027

News

Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike has predicted the emergence of a broader “rainbow coalition” around President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election.

Wike made the remark while reacting to the recent visits of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke to Abuja, where the governor met with President Tinubu and later held discussions with the FCT Minister.

Adeleke’s visits came shortly after his re-election as governor of Osun State, sparking political speculation about his future ahead of the 2027 elections.

Although Adeleke has said that returning to the All Progressives Congress (APC) is not currently part of his plans, he has expressed his readiness to work with individuals and groups supporting projects and development initiatives linked to President Tinubu in Osun State.

Wike, however, believes the political realignment could go beyond party lines, suggesting that more politicians may join a wider coalition in support of Tinubu as the 2027 election approaches.

The former Rivers State governor’s comments have further fueled speculation about possible political alliances and realignments ahead of the next presidential election.
