Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have intercepted a truck carrying a large quantity of military uniforms and illicit substances in the Surulere area of the state.
The operation led to the recovery of 47 sacks containing military uniforms and 80 cartons of suspected illicit drugs. Three suspects were arrested in connection with the consignment.
The police said the interception followed intelligence gathering and surveillance by officers, who stopped the vehicle and conducted a search that uncovered the items.
The suspects are currently assisting investigators as authorities work to determine the source and intended destination of the uniforms and drugs.
The Lagos Police Command stated that investigations are ongoing, adding that further developments would be made public as the case progresses.
