Nigerian opposition parties have reportedly reached a consensus to present a unified presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections, in a bid to challenge the ruling party.
According to former Minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Kabiru Turaki, the agreement was part of ongoing efforts to strengthen opposition unity ahead of the polls.
The move is seen as a major step toward consolidating political forces against the incumbent government as preparations for 2027 begin to gather momentum.
