Police operatives in Anambra State have raided a suspected criminal hideout in Enugwu-Ukwu community, leading to the arrest of eight individuals allegedly involved in cult-related activities.
According to reports, the operation was carried out following credible intelligence on the activities of the suspects in the area. During the raid, officers also recovered suspected illicit substances, including Cannabis Sativa.
The arrested suspects are currently in police custody and are expected to be interrogated as investigations continue to determine the extent of their involvement in cultism and other related crimes.
Authorities say efforts are ongoing to clamp down on criminal networks and restore peace and security in the community.
