Fayose said the actions and decisions of Atiku and Tambuwal before and after the 2023 general elections weakened the PDP and pushed it to the brink of collapse. He alleged that their refusal to respect internal party agreements and zoning arrangements created deep divisions within the party, leading to widespread discontent among members.
According to Fayose, the failure of the party’s leadership to address these issues contributed to the loss of trust among supporters and key stakeholders, further destabilising the PDP. He warned that unless the party learns from its mistakes and undertakes serious internal reforms, it risks losing its relevance as a strong opposition force in Nigeria’s political landscape.
The former governor urged PDP leaders to put personal ambitions aside and focus on rebuilding unity and discipline within the party to restore public confidence ahead of future elections.
