Lawyer and public affairs analyst Owolabi Salis has called on President Bola Tinubu to take stronger, more decisive action against Nigeria’s escalating insecurity.
Salis urged the government to adopt a more aggressive and proactive strategy, stressing that waiting for a major attack before responding would be a dangerous mistake.
He warned that the rising cases of banditry, kidnapping, and violence across the country demand immediate intervention. According to him, security agencies must be better equipped, intelligence must be strengthened, and communities must feel protected.
Salis added that the President’s response in the coming months will determine whether the situation improves or worsens, emphasizing that Nigerians are growing increasingly anxious and need reassurance that the government is firmly in control.
