The Adamawa State Police have arrested one of two brothers accused of killing their father in Numan town.
The suspect, 25-year-old David ThankGod, was arrested in Jalingo, Taraba State. His younger brother, 23-year-old Joshua ThankGod, is still on the run.
Police spokesperson, SP Suleiman Nguroje, said the incident happened in the early hours of January 3, when the two brothers allegedly strangled their father, Ogar ThankGod, a well-known businessman, at his home in the Gwe-da-Mallam area.
Investigations revealed that the brothers were called back from Lagos to help settle a family dispute that was already before the police.
The police said investigations are ongoing and efforts are being made to arrest the second suspect.
