Troops of the Joint Task Force, Operation HADIN KAI, have thwarted a planned attack by Boko Haram terrorists in Borno State.According to military sources, the troops from the 21 Special Armoured Brigade intercepted the terrorists on Friday, October 17, 2025, around the Kashimri general area of Bama Local Government Area.
The insurgents were reportedly planning to launch coordinated assaults on nearby communities before the troops engaged them in a fierce gun battle, forcing them to flee.
Several items, including weapons and logistics materials, were recovered from the scene, while the area has since been cleared and secured to prevent further threats.The Nigerian Army commended the troops for their vigilance and reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining peace and security in the North-East region.
