The Sokoto State Police Command has announced an extension of the deadline for its ongoing 2026 recruitment exercise, calling on eligible youths across the state to take advantage of the opportunity and apply before the new closing date.
In a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, the police said the extension became necessary to allow more qualified applicants who may not have completed their registration to do so.
The Command urged interested candidates to ensure they meet all stipulated requirements, including age, educational qualifications, and medical fitness, before submitting their applications through the official recruitment portal.
It also warned applicants to be cautious of fraudsters, stressing that the recruitment process is free of charge and does not require the services of agents or middlemen.
The Sokoto Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to a transparent and merit-based recruitment process, noting that the exercise is aimed at strengthening community policing and improving security across the state.
Prospective applicants have been advised to complete their applications ahead of the newly extended deadline to avoid last-minute issues.
