The Anambra State Police Command has recovered ₦636,700 in cash, firearms, and an accidented vehicle abandoned by suspected armed robbers in Abagana, Njikoka Local Government Area.
Police operatives on patrol reportedly engaged the suspects, who attempted to flee on sighting the officers. During the chase, the suspects’ vehicle crashed, forcing them to abandon it and escape into nearby bushes.
Items recovered from the vehicle include the cash believed to be stolen and firearms. The exhibits have been secured for investigation, while a manhunt has been launched to arrest the fleeing suspects.
The police have reassured residents of their commitment to maintaining security and protecting lives and property across the state.
