Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have foiled a robbery attempt in Sagamu, recovering the vehicle used by the suspects during the operation.
According to a statement issued by the Command on Wednesday, the incident occurred in the early hours of the day when officers attached to the Sakura Division received a distress call about a suspected robbery in progress within the Sagamu area.
Acting swiftly on the report, the officers mobilised to the scene and engaged the suspects, who fled upon sighting the police team.
However, their operational vehicle was successfully impounded during the chase.
The Command confirmed that efforts are ongoing to track down and apprehend the fleeing suspects.
Ogun State Commissioner of Police commended the officers for their timely response and reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and property across the state.
