A 22-year-old man has been arrested in Lagos for allegedly impersonating a police officer after stealing a police uniform and using it to deceive members of the public.
According to reports, the suspect was apprehended following a tip-off from vigilant residents who became suspicious of his activities while he was dressed in police attire. Their prompt report led to his arrest by security operatives.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspect was not a member of the Nigeria Police Force and had unlawfully obtained the uniform to pose as an officer.
