His office issued a warning to the public, stating that the account is fraudulent and does not represent the former president in any way. It urged Nigerians and social media users to disregard any information shared from the impersonating page, stressing that it is intended to mislead the public.
The office also reaffirmed that Jonathan’s official communications are only released through verified channels.
