
The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the recovery of human remains believed to belong to a man who was earlier declared missing, while two suspects have been arrested in connection with the killing and a separate violent incident within the state.
According to police sources, the remains were discovered following intelligence-led investigations into the disappearance of the victim, whose whereabouts had been unknown for several weeks.
The discovery was made in a secluded area after one of the suspects reportedly led officers to the location during interrogation.Police authorities disclosed that preliminary findings suggest the victim was murdered, though forensic analysis is ongoing to establish the exact cause of death and formally confirm the identity of the remains.
