
The Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested a woman and her husband for allegedly kidnapping a two-year-old child and demanding a ₦5 million ransom from the victim’s family.The arrest is part of ongoing security operations aimed at curbing the growing wave of abductions in the state, which authorities say is linked to the influx of bandits and criminal elements from neighboring northern states.Police spokesperson, DSP Ramhan Nansel, confirmed that the couple was among 24 suspected kidnappers apprehended in recent raids across the state.

He noted that all the suspects are currently in custody as investigations continue.The Commissioner of Police reiterated the command’s commitment to intensifying efforts against kidnapping and other criminal activities to ensure the safety and security of residents.
