France has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Nigeria’s ongoing battle against terrorism, particularly in the northern region where communities continue to face violent attacks.
President Emmanuel Macron made the pledge while expressing solidarity with the Nigerian government and citizens affected by insurgency. He said France remains ready to deepen cooperation with Nigeria in security operations, intelligence sharing, and humanitarian assistance.
Macron added that France would continue to work closely with regional partners to help restore stability, protect vulnerable populations, and strengthen long-term peace efforts across West Africa.
The French President also commended Nigeria’s security agencies for their efforts and reiterated France’s willingness to expand partnerships aimed at tackling extremist groups operating in the region.
