The Leader of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church has condemned the recent abduction of church members in Kogi State, calling on Governor Usman Ododo to take urgent action to secure their safe release.
Speaking in response to the attack, the cleric described the incident as heartbreaking and unacceptable, stressing that innocent worshippers should never be targets of violence. He appealed to security agencies and the Kogi State Government to intensify efforts to track down the perpetrators and rescue the victims without delay.
He further urged Governor Ododo to prioritize security around worship centres across the state, noting that the growing threat of insecurity continues to instil fear among religious communities.
The church leader also called on Nigerians to join in prayers for the safe return of the abducted members and for peace to prevail in Kogi and across the country.
