According to the governor, the state government has employed 1,050 local hunters, established a Forward Operation Base (FOB), and officially absorbed several vigilante members into the state civil service to boost coordinated security operations.
Ododo explained that the recruitment of hunters and the integration of vigilante operatives were strategic steps to enhance grassroots intelligence gathering and improve rapid response to threats. He noted that the Forward Operation Base will serve as a critical hub for joint operations involving security agencies, local hunters, and community vigilantes.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to protecting lives and property, stressing that Kogi would continue to invest in structures and manpower that ensure lasting peace and stability across all local government areas.
