The Enugu State Police Command has apprehended five suspects believed to be responsible for a series of armed robberies and one-chance operations across the state.
According to the command, the arrests followed coordinated intelligence-led operations targeting criminal groups notorious for dispossessing unsuspecting passengers of their valuables. During the raids, police operatives recovered several stolen tricycles allegedly used for the illicit activities, along with a locally made weapon and other exhibits linked to the suspects.
The police added that investigations are ongoing, and the arrested individuals will be charged to court upon the conclusion of the inquiry. The command also urged residents to remain vigilant and continue providing useful information to aid efforts aimed at making Enugu safer for all.
