The 38 church worshippers kidnapped by gunmen in Eruku, Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, have finally been released to their families.
Their reunion comes days after PUNCH Online reported that, although officials had announced the victims’ rescue, they had not been allowed to return home.
The worshippers, who were abducted during a church programme, have now been handed over to their relatives, bringing an end to the anxiety that followed the incident.
Authorities have not provided further details on the conditions of their release, but families expressed relief as the victims safely reunited with them.
