The Ogun State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of six real estate marketers in Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area.
According to the command, the victims were kidnapped on Friday while on an inspection visit to a parcel of land in the area. Armed men reportedly ambushed them during the visit and whisked them away into the forest.
Police spokesperson Omolola Odutola said operatives have already launched a coordinated search-and-rescue operation in collaboration with local hunters and vigilante groups. She assured that the command is making “intense efforts” to track down the perpetrators and secure the safe release of the victims.
Residents have been urged to remain calm and provide any useful information that could assist the ongoing investigation.
