Ray J has been arrested after allegedly pointing a firearm at his ex-wife, Princess Love, during a heated confrontation broadcast live online.
According to TMZ, the 44-year-old musician was taken into custody in Los Angeles on Thursday, Nov. 27, on suspicion of making criminal threats. His bail was set at $50,000, and he was released later that day. The LAPD and representatives for both parties have not commented publicly on the incident.
Clips from the livestream circulating on social media capture a tense exchange in which Ray J accuses Princess Love and her relatives of attempting to “drive drunk.” Princess later appears on camera holding their daughter, Melody. The former couple also shares a 5-year-old son, Epik.
At one point in the video, Princess claims, “Ray, you just pointed a gun,” while Ray J denies the allegation and continues accusing her and her cousins of being “alcoholics.” She insists she had no intention of driving, repeating, “I’m not driving! You just pointed a gun at us.” Ray J responds, “I didn’t point nothing at y’all.” She later brands him “a woman abuser.”
Princess is heard saying she has contacted the police, prompting Ray J to reply, “I’ll shoot the f—ing police.” TMZ also reports that the livestream shows Ray J holding a gun and warning that he would use it if anyone approached the door.
Ray J opened the broadcast by telling viewers he was experiencing “the worst Thanksgiving in the f—ing world,” according to the outlet.
