The Federal High Court has dismissed circulating reports claiming that there was an assassination attempt on Justice James Omotosho following the sentencing of Nnamdi Kanu, describing the story as entirely false and misleading.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the Court clarified that no such incident occurred and warned the public against spreading unfounded allegations capable of inciting fear or tension.

According to the Court’s spokesperson, the viral claim was “fabricated misinformation” aimed at creating unnecessary panic and undermining the integrity of the judiciary.

The Court further urged Nigerians, media outlets, and social platforms to verify information from credible sources before publication, emphasizing that the judiciary remains committed to carrying out its duties without intimidation.

The clarification comes amid heightened public interest and reactions surrounding the judgment delivered by Justice Omotosho. The Court reassured the public that the judge is safe and that normal judicial activities continue uninterrupted.
