
An early morning fire on Friday destroyed several shops in a three-storey commercial building in Anambra State, leaving traders counting their losses.According to eyewitnesses, the blaze started at about dawn and quickly spread through the complex before residents alerted emergency responders.
Firefighters from the Anambra State Fire Service arrived promptly at the scene and battled the flames, successfully preventing the fire from extending to nearby structures.

Two individuals trapped inside the building were rescued during the operation. Authorities confirmed that no lives were lost and no major injuries were recorded.While the cause of the fire is yet to be determined, officials say investigations have already begun.
