Armed terrorists have reportedly kidnapped more than 50 students from St. Mary’s School, a private Catholic institution located in Papiri community, Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State.Residents said the attackers stormed the school late in the night, overpowering local security and taking away a large number of students.

Although the exact number of abducted students is yet to be confirmed, early reports suggest that over 50 children were taken.Details surrounding the incident remain unclear, but community sources indicated that the gunmen operated for several hours without resistance due to the remote nature of the area. Parents and locals have been thrown into panic as search efforts begin.Authorities are yet to issue an official statement, and security operatives have reportedly been deployed to track the attackers and rescue the victims.
The incident adds to the growing wave of school abductions in parts of northern Nigeria, raising renewed concerns about student safety and the worsening insecurity affecting rural communities.
