
Relatives of the abducted worshippers from the Christ Apostolic Church, Oke-Igan, in Eruku, Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, say the bandits responsible for the attack have requested a ransom of N100 million per victim.About 35 worshippers were kidnapped during the attack, plunging families into distress as they struggle to meet the enormous demand.

Sources who spoke with The PUNCH revealed that the abductors contacted the families shortly after the incident, insisting that no negotiation would take place unless the full amount was paid for each abductee.Community members have called on security agencies and the Kwara State Government to intensify rescue efforts, expressing fear for the safety of the victims. The incident has further heightened concerns over rising banditry and insecurity in parts of the state.
