Bandits Kill Two Farmers in Kaduna’s Birnin Gwari Community

Two farmers have been killed in a fresh attack by suspected bandits in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

According to local sources, the assailants invaded the farming community on Sunday morning, opening fire on residents who were working on their farmlands. The victims, identified as local farmers, were said to have died on the spot.

The incident has thrown the community into mourning, with residents expressing fear over the growing insecurity in the area.

A community leader who spoke to journalists under anonymity lamented that despite repeated appeals for help, bandit attacks have continued unabated.

He called on the state government and security agencies to increase surveillance and protection for rural dwellers in Birnin Gwari and surrounding villages.

As of press time, the Kaduna State Police Command had yet to issue an official statement on the attack.
