
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 10,250 personnel to Anambra State ahead of the November 8 governorship election.Commandant-General of the Corps, Dr. Ahmed Audi, said the massive deployment was aimed at ensuring a peaceful, free, and credible election across the state.

Audi noted that the operatives had been strategically positioned in all 21 local government areas, including identified flashpoints, to prevent any form of violence or electoral malpractice.He further warned political thugs and troublemakers to steer clear of polling units and election venues, stressing that the Corps would not hesitate to deal decisively with anyone caught disrupting the process.
The NSCDC boss assured residents of their safety and urged them to come out en masse to exercise their franchise without fear or intimidation.
