NSCDC Arrests Drug Dealer, Hands Over Suspects to NDLEA in Kano

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, has arrested an alleged Indian hemp dealer along with two accomplices and handed them over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for further investigation and prosecution.According to a statement released on Friday, the suspects were apprehended during a routine patrol by NSCDC operatives in the state.

The arrest followed credible intelligence indicating their involvement in the sale and distribution of illicit drugs within Kano metropolis.The State Commandant of the NSCDC, Mohammed Falala, said the handover was part of the agency’s collaboration with other security bodies to curb the menace of drug abuse and trafficking in the state.He reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to maintaining law and order while supporting the NDLEA in the fight against narcotics.The NDLEA officials commended the NSCDC for the synergy and promised to conduct a thorough investigation to ensure that the suspects face justice.
