Police Rescue 60-Year-Old Kidnap Victim, Arrest Murder Suspects in Oyo

The Oyo State Police Command has rescued a 60-year-old man, Isiaku Saidu, who was kidnapped by suspected criminals, and has arrested members of a kidnapping syndicate linked to murder cases in the state.

According to the police, the victim was abducted by the suspects and held in captivity while his abductors demanded ransom from his family. Acting on credible intelligence, operatives of the Oyo State Police Command launched a coordinated operation that led to the arrest of three members of the kidnapping gang.

During the operation, the police successfully rescued Isiaku Saidu unhurt and took him to a medical facility for evaluation before he was reunited with his family.

Further investigations revealed that the arrested suspects are also connected to other serious crimes, including murder, carried out in different parts of the state. Items recovered from the suspects include weapons and other exhibits believed to have been used in their criminal activities.

The Oyo State Police Command assured residents of its commitment to tackling kidnapping and other violent crimes, urging members of the public to continue providing timely and useful information to security agencies to help rid the state of criminal elements.
