Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, on Sunday, made his first public appearance in church following the recent suspension of political hostilities around his office. The governor attended a thanksgiving service where he expressed deep gratitude to God for His mercy and protection throughout the turbulent period.
Addressing the congregation, Governor Fubara called on the church, religious leaders, and the people of Rivers State to remain steadfast in prayers for peace, unity, and progress in the state. He noted that his renewed mandate of governance would only succeed with the support of God and the collective will of the people.
He assured citizens of his commitment to fostering good governance, transparency, and policies that will uplift the welfare of Rivers people, adding that his trials have strengthened his resolve to serve selflessly.
