The Kogi State Police Command has unveiled a new Violent Crime Response Unit (VCRU) aimed at strengthening the fight against armed banditry, kidnapping, and other violent crimes across the state.
According to the Command, the specialised unit will focus on rapid response operations, intelligence-driven policing, and coordinated action to curb criminal activities and improve public safety in high-risk areas.
The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to enhance security architecture in Kogi State and ensure a safer environment for residents.
