The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has clarified the political stance of its General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, stating that neither he nor the church has endorsed any political party or candidate.
In a statement issued by the church, RCCG urged members of the public to disregard reports, messages, or social media posts suggesting that Pastor Adeboye has declared support for any political group ahead of future elections.
The church emphasized that Pastor Adeboye remains focused on his spiritual responsibilities and continues to pray for the peace, progress, and good governance of Nigeria without aligning with any political party.
RCCG also advised Nigerians to verify information from official church channels before sharing or acting on reports concerning the General Overseer’s views on political matters.
According to the statement, the church maintains its long-standing position of remaining non-partisan while encouraging citizens to participate peacefully and responsibly in the democratic process.
The clarification comes amid increasing political discussions and speculation surrounding the views of prominent religious leaders in the country.
