Ogun State chieftain of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Rotimi Babajide, has officially declared his intention to contest in the 2027 Ogun State governorship election, unveiling an ambitious plan aimed at tackling unemployment and boosting economic growth in the state.Speaking during his declaration, Babajide promised to create 150,000 jobs within his first four years in office if elected governor.

According to him, the jobs would be generated through investments in agriculture, technology, small businesses, manufacturing, and youth empowerment programmes.

The APM chieftain stated that Ogun State has enormous economic potential that remains underutilized, stressing that his administration would focus on creating opportunities for young people and improving the living standards of residents across the state.Babajide also pledged to support local entrepreneurs, attract investors, improve infrastructure, and strengthen education and vocational training to prepare youths for employment and self-reliance.

He urged residents of Ogun State to support his vision for a more productive and economically stable state, promising transparent leadership and people-focused governance ahead of the 2027 elections.
