The distraught residents, including diocesan leaders and community stakeholders, made the call on Sunday, describing the mass abduction as a heartbreaking tragedy that has thrown the entire area into fear and uncertainty.

According to them, the kidnapping has disrupted academic activities and left families in anguish, with many parents still unaware of the condition or whereabouts of their children. They urged the Federal Government, the military, police, and other security formations to intensify rescue operations and ensure that the students return home safely and without further delay.

Community leaders also appealed for strengthened security across schools and vulnerable settlements in the region, stressing that the recurring attacks have made everyday life unsafe for residents.

They expressed hope that with swift and coordinated intervention, the children would be freed and normalcy restored to Kontagora and surrounding communities.
