
A Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) officer is feared dead following a brutal attack by suspected bandits on a Customs camp in Maje, a community in the Bagudo Local Government Area of Kebbi State.According to reports, the assailants, believed to be members of the notorious Lakurawa gang, stormed the facility in the early hours of the day, shooting sporadically and causing panic among residents.
The attackers were said to have overpowered the officers on duty, leading to the death of at least one Customs personnel, while several others sustained varying degrees of injuries.

Sources revealed that the gunmen carted away weapons and other valuables from the camp before fleeing into the nearby forest.
Security operatives have since been deployed to the area, and an investigation into the incident is underway.
The Nigeria Customs Service is yet to issue an official statement regarding the attack.Residents of Maje and surrounding communities have expressed fear over the growing insecurity in the region, calling on authorities to strengthen security presence and protect lives and property.
