Relationship therapist and media personality, Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has officially confirmed that her engagement with popular auto dealer, Ikechukwu Ogbonna, better known as IVD, has come to an end.
In a recent statement shared on her social media page, Blessing CEO revealed that she decided to end the relationship after realizing that IVD was not comfortable with her lifestyle and public persona. According to her, IVD told her point-blank that he could not marry an actress or a woman who is constantly in the spotlight.
Blessing explained that although she had deep affection for him, she couldn’t continue in a relationship where her career and identity would become a problem. She stated that being in the public eye is a major part of who she is, and she would not compromise her passion and purpose for love.
“I loved him, I won’t lie,” she said. “But he said he can’t marry an actress or a public figure. I can’t hide who I am to please a man. I choose peace, freedom, and purpose over pretense.”
The announcement has since sparked a wave of reactions online, with fans sharing mixed opinions about the couple’s split. While some commended her for choosing herself, others expressed disappointment, saying they had high hopes for the relationship after she flaunted her engagement ring weeks ago.
