The Delta State Police Command has arrested 22 suspected drug dealers during coordinated operations carried out in Ozoro and Abraka, as part of its ongoing campaign against drug-related crimes in the state.
During the operation, police also rescued two minors who were found inside a suspected drug den. The children were taken to safety, while officers secured the premises and arrested the suspects for further investigation.
According to the police, the raids targeted locations believed to be used for the sale and distribution of illegal drugs. Officers recovered suspected illicit substances and other items believed to be connected to the criminal activities.
The Command stated that investigations are ongoing to identify other members of the drug network and ensure everyone involved is brought to justice. It also reaffirmed its commitment to protecting communities from the dangers of drug abuse and trafficking.
Residents have been encouraged to continue providing useful information to security agencies to support efforts aimed at eliminating drug-related crimes across Delta State.
