Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has accused some influential individuals, including pastors and her state government, of allegedly working together to ensure she remains behind bars.
The actress appeared before the court on Friday, October 30, 2026, over her ongoing legal battle. However, the ruling on her bail application was reportedly postponed until November 6, 2026.
Following the court proceedings, Doris was ordered to remain at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre pending the next hearing.
Reacting to the development, the actress expressed frustration and disappointment, describing her continued detention as politically motivated. She alleged that some pastors and government officials had joined forces to frustrate her efforts to regain freedom.
She also questioned the judiciary’s handling of the matter, expressing disbelief that a dispute involving former lovers had escalated into prolonged legal proceedings and her continued detention.
Doris’s allegations have not been independently verified, and the next court hearing is expected to take place on November 6, 2026.
