The Kwara State Police Command has rescued a 26-year-old kidnap victim, Shekinat Mukaila, and arrested a suspect in connection with her abduction in Wande Community, Moro Local Government Area of the state.
According to the police, the victim was kidnapped by suspected criminals who took her to a hideout after the incident. Acting on credible intelligence, police operatives launched a swift operation, leading to her successful rescue without harm.
During the operation, one of the suspected kidnappers was arrested, while efforts are ongoing to track down and arrest other members of the gang who fled the scene.
The rescued victim has since been reunited with her family and is receiving the necessary care following the traumatic experience.
