The Gombe State Police Command has reunited a woman with her vehicle five years after it was stolen in Rivers State.
The recovered vehicle, a Toyota Highlander SUV belonging to Mrs. Cecilia A. Duru, was officially handed back to its owner after a successful investigation and recovery by the police.
According to the command, the SUV was stolen in Rivers State in 2021 and was later traced to Gombe following intelligence-led operations. After completing the necessary investigations and verifying ownership documents, the police returned the vehicle to Mrs. Duru.
The owner expressed gratitude to the Nigeria Police Force for their efforts, describing the recovery as a remarkable achievement after years of losing hope.
The Gombe State Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to tackling vehicle theft and other crimes, urging members of the public to promptly report suspicious activities and cooperate with law enforcement agencies.
