
The Chief of Army Staff has assured Nigerians that efforts are underway to rescue the pupils and teachers who were abducted in Oyo State, saying security forces are working tirelessly to secure their safe release.
Speaking on the development, the Army Chief said troops and other security agencies have intensified rescue operations, expressing confidence that the victims will soon be reunited with their families.
He noted that the military remains committed to protecting lives and ensuring that those responsible for the abduction are brought to justice. According to him, every available resource is being deployed to achieve a successful outcome without compromising the safety of the captives.
The Army Chief also appealed to the public to remain calm and avoid spreading unverified information that could interfere with ongoing security operations.
He reaffirmed the military’s resolve to combat kidnapping and other forms of criminality across the country, stressing that the safety and security of Nigerians remain a top priority.
