Former Fox News host and U.S. military veteran Pete Hegseth has claimed that former U.S. President Donald Trump directed the Pentagon to take action in protecting Nigerian Christians allegedly targeted by ISIS-linked terrorists.
Speaking during a recent discussion on global security and religious persecution, Hegseth stated that the Trump administration considered the attacks on Christian communities in Nigeria a serious issue and reportedly pushed for stronger military attention and intelligence efforts in the region.
According to him, the directive was aimed at countering the growing threat posed by extremist groups linked to ISIS operating in parts of Nigeria and across West Africa. He suggested that the move was part of Trump’s broader policy focused on protecting persecuted Christians worldwide.
