Music executive Ubi Franklin has warned that Afrobeats superstar Davido and his wife, Chioma Adeleke (popularly known as Chef Chi), are prepared to take legal action against individuals engaged in coordinated cyberbullying and online harassment targeting the couple and the broader Adeleke family.
In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, Franklin, who describes himself as Chioma’s manager, highlighted what he described as organised trolling through private group chats and online communities. He suggested that disturbing messages were being circulated specifically aimed at the couple.
“You know people are evil right? The message I see on this group chat is just,” Franklin wrote in one post, alluding to the harmful content he had encountered.
In a follow-up statement, he issued a direct warning to the alleged perpetrators:
“One after the other, you will explain to the law enforcement what Chef Chi has done to all of you. Just keep opening groups to bully her. Her husband, me as her manager, and the entire family have your time now, and we will follow the rules, and you will be served.”
Franklin emphasised that the attacks go beyond typical online criticism or fan rivalries. He described them as repeated, targeted efforts amounting to outright bullying, particularly directed at Chioma over issues such as her fashion choices, public appearances, lifestyle, and her brand as a celebrity chef. These incidents often tie into broader fan wars involving Davido and other artists, as well as past personal controversies surrounding the singer.
The music executive urged the public to recognise the behaviour for what it is—coordinated harassment—rather than dismissing it as harmless celebrity gossip. He indicated that Davido, Chioma, himself, and the Adeleke family are now ready to pursue formal channels, including involving law enforcement, to address the matter systematically and within legal bounds.
