
Nigeria — December 30, 2025 — The wife of a village head and her two-year-old daughter have been rescued in Kaduna State following a kidnapping incident, authorities confirmed on Tuesday.The victims, relatives of Usman Danjuma, the village head of Amantu in Ayu Chiefdom, were abducted on Sunday evening along with other individuals in the area. Security agencies, working alongside local vigilantes, successfully secured the release of Danjuma’s wife and her child early Monday morning.
Both were reportedly unharmed.However, two other individuals abducted in a separate incident in Fadan Karshi, Gwantu Chiefdom remain missing. Efforts by security operatives and community members to locate them are ongoing.A local official described the rescue operation as a coordinated effort involving both law enforcement and community stakeholders, emphasizing the importance of swift action in kidnapping cases.
