A former military spokesman has publicly declared his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu amid ongoing investigations involving the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Speaking during a media interaction, the ex-spokesman said President Tinubu’s administration remains focused on strengthening democracy and the rule of law, insisting that the probe involving the ADC should not be politicised. He described the investigation as a normal democratic process that must be allowed to run its course without misinformation or undue pressure.
According to him, attempts by some political actors to link the probe to political witch-hunting are misleading and aimed at discrediting the government. He stressed that no political party or individual is above the law and that accountability is essential for national development.
The former military official also praised Tinubu’s leadership, noting that the president has shown commitment to security reforms, economic recovery and institutional integrity since assuming office. He urged Nigerians to support the government’s efforts and avoid narratives that could undermine public trust in state institutions.
He concluded by calling on political parties to play constructive roles in Nigeria’s democracy, adding that lawful investigations should be seen as part of efforts to strengthen, not weaken, the political system.
